Trade Compliance Policy Statement
The Orientalist Spirits Pte Ltd is committed to complying with all relevant trade laws applicable to its operations. Non-compliance can result in reputational damage, financial penalties, and suspension or revocation of export, import, or manufacturing privileges. The company ensures the implementation, maintenance, and periodic review of its trade compliance policy across all processes.
Trade-related activities must follow these guidelines:
Export compliance: All exports must be accurately declared under Singapore’s Customs and trade laws. Shipping documentation must correctly describe the items and their export classification.
Import compliance: All imports must be accurately described under Singapore’s Customs and trade laws. Customs entries must include the importer’s details, quantity, value, classification, duty preference eligibility, and country of origin.
Manufacture compliance: All dutiable products must be manufactured, packaged, and distributed in full compliance with Singapore’s Customs and trade laws.
Sanctions compliance: The company will not engage in transactions involving destinations, end-uses, or end-users subject to sanctions programmes, including those maintained by the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Anti-boycott compliance: Requests to support a trade boycott must be reported to the Board of Directors, who will assess compliance with anti-boycott regulations and potential impacts. The company will not participate in any boycott without prior written approval from the Board.
Compliance responsibility: All employees are responsible for upholding the principles of this policy. This policy has been reviewed and approved by the Directors of The Orientalist Spirits Pte Ltd and will be updated as necessary.
